Q: If I'm new to the area, what do I need to do to get established at Advanced Dental Arts?

A: We love to meet new patients! It's very simple to become established with our practice. Just call us to schedule your new patient exam, which consists of meeting with the doctor and going over the dental work you've had in the past and seeing what needs to be done, if anything. They will take x-rays (if needed) and photos at this appointment as well. We have a form here you can fill out to request your records from your prior dentist. If at all possible we like to do this before the appointment so if you have recent x-rays we can try to use those.

Q: What in the world is SmileDash?

A: SmileDash is a customizable web portal where our patients can access our front desk services from any Internet connection, even when our office is closed. Our patients are able to view their account, remaining insurance benefits, and you can even pay your bill online through the secure website. Patients can also view their scheduled appointments with our office, as well as confirm them. We know people are busy these days, so we offer e-mail and text message reminders. But, if you would rather just have the regular phone confirmation we will do that too! On SmileDash you can customize the way we do your reminders, and if you change your phone #, you are able to update it on SmileDash also. Another option they have is their 'personal memo service', if you have dry cleaning to pickup you can set an alarm on SmileDash and they will text you a reminder for anything you can think of. It's a pretty cool service that we hope our patients utilize and enjoy!

Q: How is comprehensive dentistry different than regular dentistry?

A: Our doctors do comprehensive dentistry which basically means looking at the mouth as a whole, rather than just tooth by tooth. Our doctors also like to treat the tooth as soon as they see an issue with it rather than just "watching" it, that way the tooth is fixed before it starts hurting you or even gets worse.
